Back country urban ski adventure

Our new snow had me excited to get out on our backcountry skis for a little adventure after we had cleared all the snow from our driveway. We are lucky to have a huge section of the NCC green belt right on our door step with many kilometres of trails we can freely use to wander and explore. Once out on the trails and surrounded in natures beauty it is easy to forget you are actually in the city.

I had quickly slapped the suitable grip wax on our skis and we made our way along the Old Quarry section of the trail system. Eventually we veered off the newly boot packed trails to enjoy some deeper snow and make our own trails, plus the snow started to fall again turning the whole place into a giant snow globe. It was long after that we were joined by a couple deer who came over to check us out and to see if we had any snacks. I was enjoying the skiing and scenery plus being able to make some new images of this adventure.
